The South West UK magazine and book social enterprise publisher supports local community groups, talented artists and writers to promote sustainable living, community development, artistic talent and social inclusion. Already twinned and collaborating with international cities and towns the organisation seeks new partners for services agreements to strengthen cultural links.
The South West UK social enterprise was founded in early 2015 to promote social inclusion, community development, artistic talent and sustainability. The organisation works with local artists, writers and journalists and provides a platform to showcase and promote their work. Part of this initiative has focussed on strengthening cultural links and developing international collaborations for mutual benefit by twinning UK, European and global cities, towns and villages. Twinnings are intended to match places with social, economic and cultural similarities, challenges and strengths in order to strengthen cultural links, facilitate student exchanges and cross promote tourism. As an extension to the twinning initiative the UK organisation now seeks to twin artists, writers and journalists in UK South West towns and cities with regional international artists, writers and journalists for collaboration and to feature and showcase work through various regional publications, magazines and digital platforms. Such collaborations provide opportunities for artists and those working in the creative sectors from both regions to raise profile, showcase work and talent, drive international interest and create commercial opportunities, stimulate tourism, and regional economic growth. The main aim of this initiative is to strengthen cultural links through partnership. Partnerships have already been established with publishers in China and a few European cities. Services agreement with like-minded media and publishing partners are sought.
