Established in 1909, the South-Italy based company has a very long familiar tradition. Since the founder started to produce olive oil, the company has had a history of significant commercial targets. Over the years, thanks to a range of products obtained exclusively from processing of raw materials of the place, and thanks to a production process by the high quality standards, as demonstrated by the numerous awards and certifications obtained, the company has achieved significant market shares, both in Italy and abroad. Since 1990 the company produces extra virgin olive oil from organic agriculture. It is the first certified olive oil producer for organic farming in Italy. The company produces annually 10,000 tons of olive oil. About 65% of the oil is sold on international markets, the rest on the domestic market. In particular, the company exports its products mainly in European countries. The European market represents 91% of turnover (51% Italy, 40% other EU countries). The remaining 9% is divided between North America, Japan and countries of Eastern Europe. The company, considered this background, wishes to enlarge its market shares in the countries where its presence in the market is not too strong. Indeed, the company has a flexible production capacity and it can build up new sales channels abroad. In particularly, in order to achieve this target, the company considers commercial agency agreements and distribution services agreements. The company is looking for international partners with a strong experience in international trade. Alongside the attention to product quality, the company, in order to diversify its activity and make the production process environmentally friendly, has developed relevant projects. In particular, the company has implemented the use of renewable energy sources. Photovoltaic panels have been installed on the roof of the mill plant, so as to obtain a capacity of 196 kw / h. Moreover, in order to reduce the use of oil and gas for heating purposes and to recycle the production waste, the company has installed biomass-fired boilers. The biomass used as fuel is obtained by processing the kernels of the olives and it is chemical solvents-free. So as to enhance the brand identity, the company has created a theme park on olive and olive oil production. Thanks to the park's design, the company has also achieved the goal of diversifying its main business, the production and sale of the olive oil. The company is also very active in research. In 2009, it has take a part in a research project, in collaboration with the department of chemistry of an Italian university and a research organization active in the olive oil sector. The results of this project has been showed the presence of ingredients with anti-inflammatory activity, in extra virgin olive oil produced from particular variety of olives, processing in a specific stage of its development. These results were published on an prestigious international journal of analytical chemistry. The farm extends in plots of secular olive trees and in plots of young olive trees, for a total of 30000 olive trees. The products are obtained by processing local varieties of olives. The company's product range includes all certified products of 100 % Italian origin and in particular: P.D.O. "Protected Designation of Origin) organic extravirgin oil, organic oil and aromatic olive oils (basil aromatic oil, lemon aromatic oil, garlic aromatic oil, hot pepper aromatic oil, orange aromatic oil, rosemary aromatic oil). In relation to the production process, the company produces cold pressed extra virgin olive oil and it carries out all production process phases, from olive trees cultivation and olive harvesting to oil storing and packaking. Today, the company is able to produce about 3,000 bottles per hour. The quality of products is guranteed by an advanced tracking system that allows to follow and tracks product’s history up until the tree.
