This Austrian company was founded in 2015 by its CEO having had 15 years work experience in a large Austrian high-level industry enterprise. Currently the successful team consists of 4 full time staff. However, this innovative start-up is constantly growing. The country of origin is Austria and currently the company is already performing business in and with Germany and starting to be active in Italy. In addition it forms part of the IBM Global Entrepreneurship Program. The software has primarily been developed for event managers to organise pitching competitions, start-up conferences and events, including the application process, the selection of participating start-ups and scoring (jury/public/investors) and data analysis. Start-ups also receive anonymised feedback regarding their jury/public scores at the pitching competition. In addition this online-platform and app can be used by investors and company scouts to better compare start-ups and analyse them according to relevant, standardised criteria. Accordingly, investors quickly see whether an applicant matches their portfolio while company scouts find start-ups that fit their innovation focus. On the platform start-ups can create their company profile and forward it to investors or use it for pitching events. The pitching app and platform thus help investors to reduce their financial risk by underpinning their decisions with qualitative and quantitative analysis of the data provided by the start-ups. The use of the platform is free of charge for start-ups. Investors pay a monthly subscription fee. The company is looking for partners in Europe and beyond. It seeks two types of cooperation: distribution services agreements or license agreements. Possible partners for distribution services agreements are for example - providers of software for conference and event organisers in the start-up sphere, - business incubators and accelerators. These partners are ideally placed to make the app and the platform known to potential end users (such as investors, start-ups, company scouts). License agreements are sought especially for the Asian market. Possible partners for license agreements are for example - organisers of pitching events, conferences and fairs, - business angel networks, - other networks of investors. These partners could use the app and the platform to organise their events or their network and provide the participants with valuable additional information about potentially interesting start-ups. While for the European and American market distribution services agreements are preferred, licence agreements are the preferred option for the Asian market.

Innovations and advantages

An advantage of this product (platform and app) is its multi-functionality. The app can be used as a stand-alone tool (for the organisation of pitching events and fast and easy scoring), or in combination with the platform (where start-ups enter their data that are then used for detailed analysis). The APIs (application programming interface) of the software enable a seamless interaction of the services with other platforms, such as e.g. CRM Systems. The system combines data about start-ups in a unique way and thus delivers a solid basis for decision making for investors. At the same time it provides feed-back to start-ups about their performance in pitching events. The personal advantage for any successful co-operation partner is that the Austrian Company has been successful itself in pitching for investors. Therefore the team can also help with personal advice and has included its own experience in the Software. The small team reacts very fast to customers and feels very passionate about its own product. They stand for personal excellence and ask the same from future partners.
