A French Technology Transfer Office (TTO) is acting on behalf of major laboratories in the Paris region, has designed and patented a method for designing turbine blades. * Market challenges : For the design of blades, whether for wind/water turbines or agri-food mixers, it has become necessary to benchmark new materials according to the size and/or use of the piece. Whether for resistance or performance issues, many parameters must be considered. if the designing methods for large blades are well known and the market is mature, there are still opportunities in the development of small wind turbines (less than 10 meters) for individuals. There are also needs in the agrofood industry for more efficient blades for industrial agitators. * State of the art : Currently, small blades of wind turbines are designed with the same parameters as large which does not make them optimal especially as it becomes necessary to use new materials always lighter and stronger. The same design techniques are used for water turbines and agri-food agitators. * Proposed technology : The laboratory has developed an algorithm for designing turbine blades. Depending on a selected material, it allows to calculate the best possible dynamics for the blade and thus to deduce its shape, taking into account in particular their Young's modulus and their density.
