The application for the international competition FASIE-TEKES

 In October 2013, the representative of RUITC visited the international conference "International scientific-technical cooperation: opportunities for industrial enterprises of St. Petersburg". Contacts were established with several St. Petersburg companies. One of the companies, LLC BIOPHARMOS", later was assisted in applying for an international competition FASIE-TEKES. RUITC expert helped Russian companies to understand the conditions of receiving funding and other issues related to the filing up the application, and also initiated the drafting of a partnership agreement.
 The coordinator of the project on the Finnish side, the company Scandic Pharma Oy. Other project participants - faculty of pharmacy of the University of Helsinki.
 The overall objective of the project is to develop a method for the early diagnosis of predisposition to gestational diabetes of pregnant women, as well as a method of prevention of pregnant women and its consequences of the newborn. In the framework of the project by the Russian side (LLC Biopharmos") will be working on getting new callus cultures and their cultivation, optimization the process of cultivation to increase output of active compounds (secondary metabolites), obtaining drugs for fractionation research, to identify active compounds, providing Finnish partners preparations for carrying out all the necessary research. Also LLC “Biopharmos " is the project coordinator and provides scientific leadership in the project.
 The Finnish side (Scandic Pharma Oy and the pharmaceutical faculty of the University of Helsinki) will carry out research required to develop an effective method for the early diagnosis of predisposition to the gestational diabetes, perform evaluation criteria by obtained biotechnological methods of plant drugs and identificate active compounds and their targets, and also research required for certification in accordance with EU rules biomass plants with the most pronounced anti-diabetic properties, as a new food raw material.
